Volleyball Tournament Rules & Guidelines
Format: Single Elimination • 4v4 Teams • Ages 14+
Schedule
Check-In: 1:00 PM
Service: 1:15 PM (Attendance Required for All Players)
First Game Start: 2:00 PM
Note: If any team member is absent from the service, the team will be disqualified.
Game Format
Style: Rally scoring to 21 points (win by 2) for all games except the Championship Game, which will be to 25 points (win by 2).
Single Elimination: Lose once, and your team is out.
Court Time Limit: Teams have 2 minutes to report to the court after being called. Failure to do so results in forfeit.
Ball Touches: Each team gets a maximum of 3 touches before sending the ball over.
Player Eligibility
All players must be 14 years or older.
Only registered players are allowed to participate—no substitutions after the tournament starts unless approved by the coordinator.
Sportsmanship & Conduct
No swearing, cussing, or fighting. Any such behavior may result in immediate elimination from the tournament.
Respect referees, opponents, and spectators at all times.
All referee decisions are final—no arguing calls.
Additional Rules
Net Violations: Any contact with the net is a fault.
Serving: Must be from behind the baseline; underhand and overhand serves are allowed.
Boundaries: If the ball lands on the line, it is in.
Tie-Breakers: In the event of a tie in the final point (e.g., 11–11 or 25–25), play continues until a team wins by 2 points.
Organizer’s Rights
The tournament director reserves the right to modify rules or the schedule to ensure fair play and timely completion.
Weather or unforeseen circumstances may alter the format at the organizer’s discretion.
Payment
Entry Fee: $5 per person or $20 per team
Payment must be made at the service before the first game.
Accepted Methods: Cash or Zelle only.
If your team is not paid and confirmed before the end of service, you cannot participate.
